BENDING
BENDING examines time spent doing exactly that. The majority of these poems by Amanda Boekelheide come from the connection between physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies before and after exertion or contortion. They were dreamt with potential bodies in mind, and question the control one does or does not have over physical aspects of oneself in the world.

About the author
Amanda splits their time between Brooklyn, NY and the west coast. As an actor, contrarian, cyborg, odd jobist, and lover of tildes and ampersands, Amanda can often be found reading or rehearsing, performing onstage or on some TV show, in a yoga class, or traveling around the world learning other languages. Amanda has an MFA in acting from Columbia University and has published three books of poetry with Scientists and Poets.
