Kim Barke.

Kim Barke is a poet, scientist, and creative director. She is the founder of Scientists & Poets, a small press and platform exploring the intersections of language, biology, and the interior life. Kim received NIH fellowships for both her predoctoral and postdoctoral work on opioid addiction. Later, she earned an MFA in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College.

Kim's work as a creative director has been recognized with numerous Clios and Cannes Lions, including the coveted Glass Lion for Change for her work on health equity. Kim has published three books of poetry, an absurdist novelette, and written two full-length plays, one of which was featured in the 2024 NYC Fringe Festival.
